About the Conference

The Black Maternal Health and Neonatal Equity Conference empowers healthcare professionals and parent advocates to advance solutions and build bridges to eliminate inequitable gaps in health outcomes for Black birthing and preemie families.

Join Once Upon A Preemie, Inc. for its combined 2nd Annual Fundraiser and 3rd Annual Conference: Black Maternal Health and Neonatal Equity Conference: Advancing Solutions and Bridging the Gap. This two-day, in-person conference will bring together perinatal and neonatal healthcare professionals and Black preemie parents/advocates for a powerful experience of health and racial equity education and empowerment, centering on the lived personal and professional experiences of Black birthing women.

This conference also seeks to:

  • Empower healthcare professionals and parent advocates to advance practice-based solutions that drive equitable maternal and neonatal health outcomes
  • Advocate for culturally appropriate, Black women-led solutions with a unified voice and vision
  • Bridge the gap between clinicians, systems, families, and communities to improve birth and post-partum outcomes
